Kitchen remodels are a popular home improvement project for homeowners in Encinitas, Carlsbad, and North County. All major (and even some minor) kitchen remodels require that a licensed electrician be brought in to complete the needed electrical work. Ms. Sparky Electric has licensed, insured, and experienced electricians in house to do the job right and to your satisfaction!
If you had a local cabinet company or home improvement company like Lowe’s or Home Depot draw up the plans for your new kitchen, you will want to have an electrician take a look at the plans as well. Oftentimes, GFCI outlets need to be moved or added when a kitchen layout changes—especially if you will be moving appliances. All of our work is done to code and is guaranteed to pass inspection.
You will also likely want to change up the lighting in your new kitchen. Maybe you are getting rid of old fluorescent lighting and replacing it with LED lights. Or perhaps you want to add pendant lights over your new island. You also may want to add under-cabinet lighting below your new upper cabinets.
There are so many great options for kitchen lighting! Let the electricians and lighting design experts at Ms. Sparky Electric help make your kitchen as beautiful and functional as it can be!
New Kitchen, New Electrical Panel?
If your current electrical panel is already stressed by the energy requirements of your home, a new kitchen remodel may push it over the edge. This is often the case in older homes with 100-amp panels. If you’re adding appliances (like a dishwasher, a wine fridge, or a built-in microwave) or switching from gas appliances to electric, you’ll want to make sure your existing electrical panel can handle the added load.
An electrician from Ms. Sparky can come to your home and evaluate your existing panel and let you know if an electrical panel upgrade is needed.
Encinitas and Carlsbad Electricians That Work with Your Architect, Kitchen Designer, and/or General Contractor
For custom kitchens that were designed by an architect or kitchen designer, we can complete all the electrical work according to the plans they created. If anything is unclear in their plans, we will communicate with the designer to ensure that everything turns out exactly as you had hoped.
We also work well with those in other trades to get everything done in a timely manner. When it comes to kitchen remodels, things need to be done in a specific order. We make sure our part is done on time so we don’t hold up the next step in the process.
